In conjunction with RSM UK, we are delighted to host this event discussing the final BEPS report, transfer pricing considerations and the challenges of employee mobility.

Guest speaker Alan  Carey, Principal Officer in the International Division of Revenue with responsibility for the for the OECD BEPS project.

Key speaker bios:

Aidan Byrne (RSM Ireland)

Aidan is a Tax Partner at RSM Ireland. Aidan joined the firm in 1998 as Tax Director, having previously in the Revenue Commissioners. Aidan specialises in advising corporate clients on optimum tax structures. In particular, Aidan advises companies on structuring foreign direct investment into Ireland and Irish businesses on reorganisations, M&A’s and succession planning issues.

Alan Carey (Revenue Commissioners)

Alan is a Principal Officer in the International Division of Revenue with responsibility for the OECD BEPS project. Prior to joining Revenue in 2013, Alan was a Tax Director with a Big 4 practice. Alan is a graduate of UCD (BBLS, MAcc), a qualified Chartered Accountant and an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Alan will provide perspectives on the OECD BEPS project from an Irish context.

Ken Almand (RSM UK)

Ken leads RSM’s UK and European Transfer Pricing business. Ken works with multinational businesses to develop and implement effective strategies that are aligned with their commercial and tax policies. Ken has previously worked at EY, Mazars and as an International Tax Specialist at HM Revenue and Custom’s Head Office where his role encompassed advising the UK Government on international tax policy, drafting the UK transfer pricing legislation, and leading complex enquiries.

Anne-Marie Welch (RSM UK)

Anne-Marie is an Expatriate Tax Partner. She advises large and small businesses on all international mobility issues for employees on assignment around the globe. Anne-Marie has over 20 years’ experience in expatriate tax, primarily with the Big 4. Her clients have included a range of international conglomerates and clients spanning a variety of industries, such as professional services, oil and gas, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.
